A pool table cannot be carried as one object. The slate comes off in three pieces, the frame comes apart, and the table has to be releveled to thousandths of an inch at the other end. In Orlando that end is usually a bonus room over a garage or a converted lanai.

Six boxes, about thirty seconds. You pick when to be called back, and that is when the phone rings.
Or call (321) 463-9055Brunswick's own catalog specifications describe an eight-foot table with a 46 by 92 inch playfield on three-piece one-inch framed slate or one-and-a-quarter-inch unframed Brunstone, and a nine-foot table with a 50 by 100 inch playfield on three-piece slate. The slate is precision-machined level to ten thousandths of an inch, extends beneath the rails, and the rails are bolted through it with a floating nut plate so they can be pulled down to the playfield. That construction is why a table is never tipped, slid or moved assembled: the slate carries the rail load, and a cracked or chipped slate edge cannot be repaired back to a playing surface.
The sequence is fixed. Pockets and rails off first with the hardware bagged per rail, then the cloth, which is unstapled or lifted from the glue depending on how it was fitted, then each slate section separated, lifted flat by enough hands to keep it flat, and carried on its edge in a padded frame. Then the frame and legs. Every fastener goes into a labeled bag tied to the component it came from, because rail bolts, slate screws and leg hardware are not interchangeable and a mismatched bolt through a slate hole is how slate cracks. Photograph the rail order before anything comes off.
Section 507.01 of the Florida Statutes lists disassembly or reassembly, hoisting or lowering, long carry, elevator or stair carrying, crating and waiting time as accessorial services separate from transportation, and expressly includes services performed by a third party at the shipper's or mover's request where the shipper pays the mover for them. That last clause covers the specialist who relevels and recloths the table at the destination. It is a legitimate arrangement, and it should show up on the written estimate as an identified line so you know whether the figure you were given includes the setup or stops at delivery.
Table R301.5 of the 2023 Florida Residential Code sets a minimum uniformly distributed live load of 40 pounds per square foot for rooms other than sleeping rooms and 30 psf for sleeping rooms. Those are distributed design values, and a slate table plus the people around it is a concentrated load in a small footprint. Of Orange County's 495,966 housing units, 128,260 went up between 2000 and 2009, and that era routinely puts the game room in a bonus room over the garage reached by one switchback stair. Slate up that stair is a measured job: landing dimension, turn radius and ceiling height at the top, checked before the date.
Orlando's rainfall normals run 7.35 inches in June, 7.15 in July and 6.25 in August against 48.35 inches for the year. Wood frames, rail feather strips and cloth all respond to that moisture, and a table moved from a conditioned house into a lanai conversion or a garage-adjacent room will settle. Releveling is done with shims under the slate and checked across all three sections and the seams, and it is worth rechecking a few weeks later once the wood has equalized in its new room. Get the destination room's air conditioning running before the table arrives.
Slate sections are heavy, flat and awkward, which makes the carry from the truck the highest-risk part of the day. Confirm the parking point, the width and threshold height of every door on the path, and whether the driveway or paver walk will take a loaded cart. In a gated community, ask the association in writing whether a truck of that length uses the resident gate or a service entrance and whether a certificate of insurance naming it is required, since waiting time at a guardhouse is billable under the same statutory list. Book the morning: Orlando's mean daily maximum is 92.2 degrees in July, and slate does not get lighter in the afternoon.

Call (321) 463-9055Census QuickFacts puts the owner-occupied housing rate in Orange County at 56.8 percent for 2020-2024, meaning roughly 43 to 44 percent of occupied homes are rented. Orange County's own fair housing analysis counts 209,073 renter-occupied units out of 444,543 occupied units, about 44 percent, and reports that apartment complexes make up about 28 percent of the county's housing stock against 56.5 percent single-family detached.
Why it matters: Apartment and condo moves are the most common household move in Orlando, and managed properties set the terms: a certificate of insurance naming the property, a reserved service elevator or loading window that is often weekday-only, gate codes and dock heights. Those requirements decide the arrival time and the crew size, and a crew that turns up without the paperwork is refused at the dock.

Chapter 507 of the Florida Statutes requires every mover doing intrastate household moves in Florida to register with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services before operating or advertising. The registration number must appear on each estimate and contract, in advertising, and on a sign on the driver's-side door of the truck in lettering at least 1.5 inches tall. Operating unregistered draws an immediate cease and desist order and a civil penalty of up to $5,000, and withholding delivery of goods after the shipper has paid what the estimate states is a prohibited practice.
Why it matters: It gives an Orlando household three concrete things to check before load day: the number on the written estimate, the number in the advertisement, and the number on the door of the truck in the driveway. It also means the written estimate is a regulated document rather than a courtesy, and that goods cannot be held in storage as leverage once payment matches the estimate.

The Census Bureau puts Orange County at 1,528,002 residents as of July 1, 2025, up 6.9 percent from the 1,429,910 counted in the 2020 census. The Orlando Economic Partnership reports the Orlando region added 37,690 residents in the year ending July 1, 2025, the sixth fastest growth among large U.S. regions.
Why it matters: Constant in-migration and turnover is why moving capacity in Orlando is tight at month end and why interstate loads arriving here are usually consolidated with other shipments. It also explains the mix of jobs: long hauls inbound from other states, and short cross-county moves as households shift between Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Brevard.
